15 Everyday Foods That Are Killing You Slowly But Steadily. Why? And How?

10. Vegetable Oils

Vegetable oils come up with healthy fats which are necessary for human’s body, that is true, but not every vegetable oil performs well. What our body need is the balance of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids. Nevertheless, some types of vegetable oil such as canola oil, corn oil, or soybean oil contain a higher proportion of omega-6 fatty acid than that of omega-3 fatty acid, which can lead to heart diseases if consumed too much over a long period. Moreover, most vegetable oils are not suitable for cooking on high heat, since heat will transform their compositions to carcinogens, causing cancer. Switch to the oils that are proven healthier like olive oil, coconut oil, and avocado oil for alternatives.
