12. Fat-Free Foods
If you think fat-free means trouble-free, you are absolutely wrong. In fact, fat-free foods can give you tons of intricacies. Foods which are “fat-free” must contain less than 0.5 gram of fat per serving, this sometimes makes the foods tasteless. To solve the problem, food producers usually add to their products additives like sugar, salt, thickeners, etc., which will elevate the calorie content. When it comes to fat-free foods, people tend to use them as their weight-loss tool. But with high amounts of calorie and other adverse compounds, those foods not only make you gain weight but also bring along some health issues such as hypertension, hyperglycemia, diabetes, and so on.
